Facilities & Infrastructure
- Out-patient services: - The Neurosurgery OPD has an average attendance of about 100 patients per week. Most of the patients are from the nearby Dharavi and Sion-Koliwada areas, but patients are referred from different parts of the Maharashtra and sometimes from the other states as well. OPD services are run twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays).
- Surgical services: - The department conducts elective and emergency surgery throughout the year. About 1000 major and minor surgeries are done yearly. In addition to the routine neurosurgery surgeries, advanced Skull base surgery, Psychosurgery and Stereotactic procedures are done on a regular basis.
- UG and PG training: - The department trains PG students in the OPD and OT and also via classes, lectures, demonstrations, seminars etc.
