The department has a well stocked library, which includes the standard textbooks on Plastic Surgery as well as a large collection of journals. Current issues of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, which is the premier Plastic Surgery journal in the world is available. In addition, we have electronic access to several others. The department has a large database of articles and videos for reference on a regular basis.

Faculty:

• Dr. Mukund Jagannathan, Professor and Head.
• Dr. Maksud Devale, Associate Professor, who will become an independent teacher by the end of the year. His primary interests are microvascular and major reconstructive surgery, surgery of the brachial plexus, and trauma surgery. A product of this department, he is committed to teaching and academics.
• Dr. Nimish Makwana, Assistant Professor. Dr. Makwana spent several years in a cosmetic surgery setting abroad, and now serves as the impetus for the aesthetic surgery programmes in our department. His interests are primarily cleft and aesthetic surgeries.
• Dr. Parag Telang, who  passed his M. Ch around a year back, has proceeded for advanced training to Universities in Belgium and Paris, and is expected back shortly to continue his position.
