Blood Bank (OPD4)

  • From the inception of Blood Bank in 1950 up to 1991 only whole blood was given.
  • From 1991, blood components are being made.

Tests

  • Grouping Cross matching is not done for OPD patients.
  • Grouping and cross matching done only for indoor admitted patients.
  • Direct comb’s Test and Indirect Comb’s Test
  • Detection of abnormal antibodies in special cases

  • Packed Red Cells
  • Saline washed packed cells for indoor Thalassemia patients.
  • Fresh Frozen Plasma
  • Cryoprecipitate
